Chelsea’s performance was described as a tactical masterclass by manager Enzo Maresca. The Blues employed aggressive high pressing, man-to-man marking, and rapid counter-attacks, exploiting PSG’s vulnerabilities on transitions and stretching their defense in ways rarely seen that season. Chelsea, qualifying via their past Champions League success and recent Conference League win, claimed their second Club World Cup (after 2021) and proved to be the only team capable of halting PSG’s otherwise flawless trophy sweep in 2025.
